At the Summit

The summit features a substantial stone cairn, which is an ideal spot for a celebratory snack or to take that all-important summit selfie.

Terrain & Geology

Rocky and grassy with some boggy patches along the lower reaches. Bring your wellies just in case!

The mountain is primarily composed of ancient metamorphic rocks, part of the Moine Supergroup, which give it a rugged, dramatic appearance. You will find schists and gneisses; basically, it’s the rock equivalent of an old man with a beard—characterful and layered.

Views & Scenery

From the summit, you'll be rewarded with views of Loch Awe and a plethora of neighboring Munros, like Ben Cruachan and Meall nan Tarmachan. On a clear day, the scenery here will make your heart skip a beat—just don’t forget to breathe.
