The summit features a small stone cairn and an unobtrusive metal post marking the height, providing a great photo opportunity (just remember not to selfie it out of focus!).
The hill is predominantly composed of sedimentary rock, specifically mudstone, which gives rise to its distinctive grassy slopes, interrupted by patches of heather and gorse.
The summit provides panoramic views of the nearby Helvellyn range and Ullswater, while on clear days, the distant Scottish hills are a treat for the eyes.
The name may derive from 'Andrew's' with 'hinney' potentially linked to old dialects meaning 'hill'.
