The summit is marked by a sizeable stone cairn, which not only serves as a windbreak but is also great for an Instagram photo op!
Meall Garbh is primarily composed of schist and gneiss, typical of the rugged terrain found in the Highlands. The unique strata result from intense metamorphic processes, making it a geological wonder.
