The summit is crowned with a small rocky outcrop and a cairn that offers a perfect vantage point for panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.
Carnedd y Filiast is primarily composed of sedimentary rocks, including mudstones and sandstones, which were formed during the Ordovician period. The dramatic cliffs on the northern face showcase the rugged terrain typical of the area.
From the summit, you can see the Snowdon massif, the distant peaks of the Glyderau, and on a clear day, even the coast of Anglesey.
