The summit boasts a prominent cairn, which is a welcome sight after the climb. There are also spectacular panoramic views over the Isle of Skye and beyond.
The mountain consists predominantly of ancient gneiss, which gives it a rugged and timeless appearance. This rock type is formed through metamorphic processes, resulting in stunning geological features and rich soils.
From the summit, one can enjoy breathtaking views of the Black Cuillin, the Inner Hebrides, and, on a clear day, even as far as the mainland. Loch Slapin is also visible, nestled below.

This popular and well-trodden route starts at the Sligachan Hotel and follows the path along Allt Dearg Mor. You continue into Coire a' Bhasteir, passing under the jagged ridges of Sgurr nan Gillean and Am Basteir before ascending Bruach na Frithe. The summit offers stunning views of the Cuillin ridge and beyond.
Beginning at the Glen Brittle Youth Hostel, this route takes you into Fionn Choire, a scenic corrie surrounded by dramatic peaks. The path ascends steadily before reaching the summit of Bruach na Frithe. It's one of the easier and safest routes to access this peak, making it suitable for less experienced walkers.
Starting from the Fairy Pools car park in Glen Brittle, this route follows the Coire na Creiche path before ascending to the Bealach nan Lice. From the bealach, you follow a clear path to Bruach na Frithe. This route offers a mix of stunning waterfalls, rugged terrain, and expansive views.
This circular route begins and ends at the Sligachan Hotel. The ascent follows the Coire a' Bhasteir route, reaching the summit of Bruach na Frithe. For the descent, you loop back via Fionn Choire, completing a scenic and rewarding day in the Cuillin.
This challenging route is for experienced climbers and scramblers only. Starting from Glen Brittle, you ascend through Coire Lagan and tackle some of the Cuillin's airy ridges, including Sgurr a' Mhadaidh, before reaching Bruach na Frithe. A thrilling and technical day out in the mountains.
Parking is available at Sligachan Hotel car park (NG466219) with several spaces. It's advisable to arrive early in peak season.
Regular bus services run from Broadford to Sligachan, providing a convenient option for hikers without a car.
Sligachan has a hotel and a bar for refreshments. There are also public toilets available near the car park.
