Aonach Mor via Gondola and Sgurr Finnisg-aig
This popular route begins at the Nevis Range gondola station (NN187753). Take the gondola to the top station to save time and energy. From there, follow the well-trodden path to Sgurr Finnisg-aig, a prominent point on the ridge. Continue along the ridge to reach the summit of Aonach Mor. The ascent is straightforward with stunning views of the surrounding ranges, including Ben Nevis to the south.
Aonach Mor and Aonach Beag Traverse
Starting from the car park near the Glen Nevis Youth Hostel (NN122730), ascend the steep path up to the ridgeline. Head northwards to the summit of Aonach Beag first, enjoying its remote and less-visited feel. Then continue along the connecting ridge to Aonach Mor. Return the same way or descend via Coire Giubhsachan for a circular route. This traverse offers a challenging but rewarding day with spectacular views.
Aonach Mor via West Face Climbers' Path
This route begins from the North Face car park (NN144763), taking the path towards the Allt a' Mhuilinn. Follow the trail into the corrie, then ascend steeply up the west face of Aonach Mor.
