Sgorr Tuath is primarily composed of ancient metamorphic rocks, including schists and gneisses, formed during the Caledonian orogeny. The rugged beauty of the area showcases the erosive power of glaciers that sculpted its dramatic features.
From the summit, you can see the impressive peaks of the Nevis range as well as the deep glens. The shimmering waters of Loch Ness can also be spotted in the distance.

There is a small layby along the A87 road, approximately 5 km from the starting point of the trail, which can accommodate a few cars. It's advisable to arrive early to secure a spot.
The nearest bus stop is in the village of Invergarry, which is about 10 km from the trailhead. Regular buses operate from Fort William, especially during the tourist season.
Invergarry has a few cafes and a shop where you can grab refreshments and supplies. Toilets are available in the village but not on the trail itself.
