The summit features a small stone cairn, providing a perfect spot for a summit selfie, as well as panoramic views over the surrounding area.
Hail Storm Hill is primarily composed of carboniferous limestone, which forms dramatic crags and unique formations in the area. The limestone has been shaped by glacial processes, creating a scenic landscape.
From the summit, you can see the sprawling North Pennines, the distant Lake District Peaks, and the rolling hills of Teesdale.
