At the Summit

The summit features a small stone cairn and a fantastic panoramic view overlooking the surrounding valleys, including glimpses of Derwentwater.

Terrain & Geology

Predominantly grassy with some rocky patches especially near the summit which can become a little slippery in wet conditions.

Low Fell is primarily composed of Skiddaw slate, which provides a unique geological backdrop with sedimentary characteristics resulting from ancient seabeds. The slate rock, along with areas of volcanic rock, contributes to the varied landscape seen today.
