At the Summit

The summit boasts a prominent cairn, along with exhilarating panoramic views of the surrounding Highland landscape.

Terrain & Geology

Primarily rocky with sections of grassy slopes and patches of heather adding splashes of purple colour in summer.

Glas Bheinn is primarily composed of ancient gneissoid rocks, which have been shaped over millions of years by glaciation. The stunning ridges and rocky outcrops you see today are reminders of a much older geological era, making them as timeless as that old woolly jumper you keep in the cupboard.
