Standard Route from Dhiseig
This is the most popular route for climbing Ben More on the Isle of Mull. Starting from the parking area near Dhiseig, the path heads steeply uphill, following the Abhainn Dhiseig stream. The route then continues on a well-trodden path all the way to the summit, offering incredible views over Mull and the surrounding islands.
Ben More via A' Chioch Ridge
This exciting and more challenging route begins at the Loch na Keal roadside parking area. It ascends towards A' Chioch, tackling a steep and rocky ridge that leads to Ben More's summit. This route is perfect for experienced hillwalkers seeking a bit of scrambling and adventure.
Ben More Circular via Dhiseig and Gleann na Beinne Fada
This circular route begins at Dhiseig and ascends the standard path. After reaching the summit of Ben More, the descent loops around through Gleann na Beinne Fada, offering a quieter and scenic return route. This option provides a full experience of Mull's rugged beauty.
Coastal Approach from Scallastle Bay
Starting from Scallastle Bay, this lesser-used route approaches Ben More from the southeast. It involves a long but gradual ascent, crossing varied terrain including moorland and streams. While less direct, this route offers a quieter alternative to the busier Dhiseig path.
