At the Summit

The summit features a large stone cairn, which is a popular spot for photographs and enjoying panoramic views of County Wicklow.

Terrain & Geology

Rocky and grassy with occasional boggy patches. Care is needed after rain!

Slievanea is largely composed of granite and gneiss, mixed with some glacial deposits from the last Ice Age. The rocky outcrops and smooth boulder fields are a testament to its glacial past.
