The summit is marked by a modest cairn offering a perfect photo op, alongside a splendid view of the surrounding landscape.
Composed primarily of sedimentary rock, with layers indicative of the rugged geological history of the region, including sandstone and shale formed during the Carboniferous period.
From the summit, hikers can enjoy panoramic views of the Campsie Fells and, on a clear day, even catch a glimpse of the distant Ben Lomond.
