The summit features a stone cairn and a small, weathered wooden sign marking the height of the mountain. The views stretch out into the distance, making it a perfect spot for a picnic—or for pretending to be a mountain goat.
Glendoo Mountain is primarily composed of granite, characteristic of the Dublin and Wicklow ranges. The area also features glacial till and boulders from the last Ice Age.

The name 'Glendoo' is derived from the Irish 'Gleann Dubh', meaning 'the dark glen'. Probably referring to the moody weather rather than your hiking skills!

Parking is available at the end of Glendoo Road, with space for about 6 vehicles. Arrive early, especially on weekends!

There are no facilities on the mountain itself, but you can find cafes and toilets in Enniskerry.
