At the summit, you will find a small stone cairn, a simple tribute to all the conquered hikers who have puffed their way up to enjoy the view.
High Tove is predominantly composed of volcanic rocks, specifically andesite, which creates dramatic scenery and eroded features. The landscape showcases glacial features as well, a testament to the area's icy past.
From the summit, you can enjoy panoramic views of Derwentwater, the surrounding fells, and a cheeky glimpse of Skiddaw to the north. On a clear day, you might even spot the Solway Firth.
