Summit Features

Upon reaching the top, adventurers are greeted by a charming cairn and some large rocky outcrops. Perfect for laying out your rations while you ponder life’s big questions—like why you thought that early morning start was a good idea!

Terrain

Expect a delightful mix of grassy paths interspersed with rocky areas, along with the odd boggy patch that’ll keep your boots on their toes. Pack some good footwear unless you fancy a spontaneous mud wrestling match with the landscape.

From the summit, the views are simply spectacular! On a clear day, gaze upon the shimmering waters of Ullswater, admire the jagged profile of Helvellyn, and take in the picturesque scenes around Place Fell. Getting there is a breeze. The nearest parking is found at Glenridding pier, right off Ullswater, with convenient bus connections from Penrith if you’d rather leave the driving to someone else.
