Reenconnell Hill is primarily composed of sedimentary rock, primarily mudstones and sandstones, formed during the Late Devonian to Early Carboniferous periods. The layering of these rocks can sometimes be seen in the eroded slopes, giving away secrets of the earth's geological past.
