The summit features a small stone cairn and offers a broad, undisturbed area to take in the surroundings.
Composed mainly of granite and volcanic rock with evidence of glacial scouring, Armboth Fell showcases typical Lake District features, including rugged terrain and deep valleys.
From the summit, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Thirlmere, the Helvellyn range, and surrounding fells such as High Seat and Raven Crag.
The name 'Armboth' is thought to derive from Old Norse, possibly meaning 'eagle's brook' or 'eagle's hill'.
