About Me
I am a young 60 year old who loves the outdoors, to get out and explore new places, as well as the well trodden familiar. I'm not the sort of walker who needs to complete a walk in a set time, nor one that hits the track at the sound of a starters gun to race for a chequered flag.... I like to soak it up. I like to stop to take a photo, read a memorial on a bench seat, to admire a view from a headland, a hill top, or even just the carpark! I love the coast, the hills, the forests. My usual walks would cover stretches of the South West Coast Path, the Quantocks, Exmoor and Dartmoor. Although I do love the sound of nature, I have been known to play a little music on my walks, but it's tasteful stuff, you know, like the theme from Lord of the Rings when he sets out on his journey, it places a certain something in your step. I'd love a dog; I had one many years ago, so if you have one that's a big plus, but not a deal breaker! I guess I'd prefer a lady friend to walk with, simply because I get on better with the girls, but a like minded bloke is more than welcome. I'm easy going, good natured, fun, silly even when you get to know me, and I like my driving, so distance isn't necessarily a problem. I like to camp out, to wild camp. Hey, I could go on, but maybe it's better done with a new friend, or friends? So maybe if you have a heart beat, something to put on your feet, a rucksack and a smile, maybe I'll see you on the same path sometime.
