At the Summit

The summit boasts a prominent trig point, which serves as a fantastic photo opportunity, and a small stone cairn marking the highest point. On a clear day, signpost views of neighbouring peaks are spectacular.

Waun Fach is primarily composed of mudstone and is part of the bedrock of the Old Red Sandstone, which gives rise to its unique topography and rich, fertile soil. The area is also characterised by ancient glacial activity, evident in the landscape features.
