The summit features a well-built trig point, which is perfect for that all-important photo opportunity. There is also a small stone shelter, ideal for taking a breather and enjoying the views.
North Hill is predominantly composed of sandstone, which gives rise to its steep slopes and scenic cliffs. The geology here features interesting sedimentary structures created during the Carboniferous period, making it a treat for aspiring geologists.
From the summit, you can see the rolling hills of South Wales, patches of forest, and on clear days, the distant sea. The Brecon Beacons are particularly prominent.
