At the Summit

The summit features a traditional stone cairn, a welcoming sight for weary hikers. There’s also a stunning rock outcrop that, if you squint just right, could resemble a throne for the king of the hills.

Terrain & Geology

Rocky and grassy with sections of heather underfoot and occasional boggy spots to keep you on your toes.

A' Chrois is predominantly composed of schist, a metamorphic rock known for its distinct layering. These formations give the mountain its rugged appearance and contribute to the stunning vistas along the trails.

Views & Scenery

From the summit, you can see the breathtaking expanse of Loch Awe, the Argyll hills, and on a clear day, even the distant peaks of the Gruinard Mountain range.
