At the Summit
At the summit, you’ll find a remarkable stone cairn that invites tired legs to take a break and soak in the panoramic views. There may even be a friendly sheep or two!

The hill is predominantly composed of Moine Schist, a metamorphic rock that has been shaped and polished by glaciers over the millennia. It provides a rugged terrain dotted with glacial erratics and showcases the dramatic geological history of the Highlands.

The name Corrieyairack derives from the Gaelic 'Corr an Iar' which means 'Hill of the West', a nod to its location relative to the glens and valleys around it.
