At the Summit

The summit features a classic stone cairn, which makes for an excellent photo backdrop. On a clear day, you might find yourself sharing the summit with a curious bird or two, apparently hoping for a snack.

Terrain & Geology

Rugged with rocky outcrops grassy patches and some snow in the winter months. It can get a bit boggy in certain areas so sturdy boots are a must.

Sgurr Breac is primarily composed of schist and granite, which formed during the Caledonian orogeny. The rock formations offer an interesting view into the earth's geological history and provide a solid footing, though the more fragile layers can be a bit crumbly, so watch your step!

Views & Scenery

From the summit, you can see the spectacular Loch Duich and the surrounding mountains, including the imposing peaks of the Five Sisters of Kintail. Keep your eyes peeled for the Isle of Skye in the distance!
